TEFL Courses in Cairo | Egypt

The capital city of Egypt, Cairo is one of the largest cities in Africa and the largest in the Arab world. It is one of the most cosmopolitan cities in Egypt and the site has a long history as the location of the nation’s historic capitals. The city is home to so many ancient and modern monuments that it can be seen as a “living museum” where visitors can explore Pharaonic, Greek, Roman, Coptic and Islamic monuments contained within. The many archaeological sites dating back to the Phaoronic era attract visitors from all over the world and Cairo is a first-class tourist destination.

In addition to its historic attractions, Cairo is home to famous shopping centers, opera houses, and theatres. It has also hosted the Cairo International Film Festival since 1976. There is a large selection of hotels and other accommodation covering all tastes and budgets.

Among the many things the greater Cairo area has to offer visitors are more than fifty museums including the Tahir Museum, which houses the body of the most powerful Pharaoh of the Nineteenth Dynasty; Ramesses II who reigned between 1279 and 1213 BC. Of course no trip to Egypt would be complete without paying a visit to the Pyramids and the Great Sphinx of Giza, which have stood for thousands of years. To get a different perspective on Cairo you can always take a famous Nile dinner cruise and spend a couple of hours drifting along this world-famous river soaking up the sights and enjoying a great meal. Cairo is also home to a number of nature reserves and protected spaces which, far away from the busy city centre, offer some quiet, cozy places to relax and unwind.

Cairo serves as an education hub for Egypt and the region as a whole with fifteen public and private universities including the American University and the British University. There are also more than thirty-five higher education institutions under the Ministry of Higher Education. The city also has an excellent transportation network with a subway system, rail network, buses, taxis and app-based services Uber and Careem.
